Participants will begin the session by engaging in an experiential as learners through an authentic industry-based performance task. After experiencing the task as a student would, participants will reflect upon the implications such a task would have upon their own classrooms and school contexts. Participants will examine the process of using an industry job shadow to create Common Core State Standards-aligned performance tasks relevant across the technical and academic core.
