Learn how the Education and the Environment Initiative Curriculum can be used to teach the Next Generation Science Standards. See the new EEI/NGSS correlation documents and watch an EEI Teacher Ambassador in action. Critical thinking and communications skills are fundamental to student success in today’s global economy. The Next Generation Science Standards fit hand-in-glove with California’s landmark, innovative K-12 EEI Curriculum to create college-ready, career-ready students who are independent-thinking, collaborative problem solvers. Attend this session and experience hands-on learning about using the EEI to teach Science standards through an environmental lens. Free to all California educators, the EEI features rich visuals, California-specific case studies, complex informational text, and real-world data from many sources to help students master skills in reading, writing, listening, researching, and presenting their ideas in a clear, cohesive style. An EEI Teacher Ambassador will share pertinent tips and resources that you can put to work right away.
