Focusing Student Creativity

Presentation Category:
Work-Based Learning
Session Type:
CPA Session
Presentation Description:
The DATA program at Cathedral City High school has been focusing "Focusing Student Creativity" in digital arts for over 10 years. Students apply classroom skill sets to real-world / professional situations and participate in SkillsUSA, where collaboration along with college and career readiness are key. This could be shooting video for the Annenberg Foundation’s Sunnylands Estate, publishing digitally illustrated children’s stories for a global market to the iBook Store, digital storytelling with the CCNews app, or setting up a solar powered green screen studio in the middle of a prestigious arts festival. Come find inspiration or think differently about how students interact with their communities using a little technology and a whole lot of creativity!
